What's unique about these lamps?

Our lamps are 3D printed, this means we utilize developing technology to create smooth matte lamps. Each lamp takes hours to create as PLA is melted and laid layer by layer to create a continuous visual that is unmatched by conventional methods

Is the lamp made of plastic?

No - Our lamps are made using Polylactic Acid (PLA) which is a plant-based and biodegradable material.

The lamp looks thin.. will it break?

The lamps are thin, yes but that's by design. We carefully work out the thickness needed for PLA to let an optimum flow of light. We do recommend handling our lamps with care to prevent breaking!

Does the lamp come with a bulb?

Yes! All our lamps include a standard 12W energy-saving warm light bulb. We recommend warm light for all ByDesign lamps.
